Rambling Reader: To Kill a Mocking Bird – Part 1?

In which I ramble on about the first 8 chapters of To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I might be addicted to the webcam and iMovie on Shawn’s laptop. Good thing he’s easily distracted by video games!

  • You crack me the heck up!

  • Loved this! You totes need to keep doing vlog updates as you go.

Also Frank is more mocking birdish than Copernicus I think. Copernicus is more of a raven name I think…they are far more pretentious.

I believe I agree with your thoughts on bird names. I must procure a Raven and name him Copernicus now.

  • I haven’t read To Kill a Mockingbird since high school. It’s not about the rape of a woman though that does happen. It’s really about the kids mainly. Nope, Frank isn’t the name of the mockingbird and I can’t really remember how it ties in but I do know that it’s something that one of the characters says somwhere in the book.

By chapter ten both “mockingbird” and the “trial of a black man” have been mentioned. I have hopes for more information soon. heh.

  • OK, you MUST continue with your video diary of TKAM because you are CRACKING ME UP! I am currently working on a post about my thoughts on TKAM – would you mind if I included your video (with kudos and a link to your blog of course) in my post because I just love it?!! Let me know!

  • Sooooooo curious to see what you think once you finish reading it! I definitely recommend the movie too! I haven’t read the book since 7th grade (which would be 1995?) and I know I’ve mentioned it before but I just might have to read it again. :)
