In My Mailbox #25
In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren … and I end up adding a ton of books to my wishlist every week.
All my IMM posts can be found here!
This completely slipped my mind this weekend. I did get two books in the mail this week! Two from Bookmooch and although the do not match the rest of the series, I am happy to add these two books to my Sweep series by Cate Tiernan!
Sweep #11: Origins
by Cate Tiernan
The chronicle of the deadly Woodbane conspiracyas told by one of Morgans own ancestorshas fallen into Hunters and Morgans hands. Hunter and Morgan explore the world of these powerful witches, to find a way to vanquish them at last. (goodreads.com)
For spacing purposes I am writing something here. Heh. Say, how’s it going, book bloggers? Have any of you read this series? What do you think of it? Let me know in comments!
Sweep #12: Eclipse
by Cate Tiernan
Morgan knows that a dark wave of destruction is on its way. Everyone she loves is in jeopardy. So Morgan, Hunter, and a surprising new ally join together to fight a battle that will test their powers more than any of them can imagine. In this struggle of good versus evil, bright magick versus dark, who will survive to tell the tale? (goodreads.com)
So now I have books 1 – 7, 9, 11-12 and 15. Seems that my book 8 is lost in the mail, which makes me very sad. It was sent by the same person who sent me these ones about a month earlier and I still do not have it. I am hoping it will show up at some point but I am not holding my breath. I am now out of points on bookmooch so I won’t be trying get any others. I still have to mail out the books from my contest in September! Why is postage so bloody expensive? Yuck. The 2 MRIs I paid for in October sort of wiped me out financially so there will be very few mailings coming from me. Perhaps in the new year I’ll get back into Bookmooch. (the odd part? It’s generally cheaper to send to the US that it is to ship within Canada! What the heck is up with that Canada Post??)

Great books. This is one of my favorite series. Happy reading.

I totally agree with you! I am Canadian to and the post services are ridiculous.
Someone from UK wanted to send me my book while she was visiting in Ontario and finaly decide to send it when she got back to UK because it was cheaper.
How can oversea postage be cheaper then Ontario-Montreal???
Lame…

I think you’re in the Montreal area too, right? I’ll bet it’ll cost me more to mail to you than to someone in Texas.

They are fun, fast reads. I read a bunch of them when I was on holiday in New Brunswick at the start of July.

I remember reading this series a few years ago! I like the updated covers, though. Hope you enjoy your books

I’ve always seen these in the bookstore and I’m pretty sure I read the summary of the first one but never actually read any of them…maybe it is time to check it out, especially since they seem to not be that long. Which definitely helps sometimes.

Funny, I can’t get them in the stores here! I’d have to order them. I was trying to go the bookmooch way to try and get the original covers to match the ones I got second hand this summer, but oh, well. A free book is a free book.

Yay for Sweep! I love that series, and it was totally my thing back in high school. But I am so excited that the author has the first in a new trilogy coming out soon.
