Sweep 2: The Coven

Morgan’s powers are stronger than she ever imagined. She has visions, she lights fires with her mind, and her spells work miracles. When her boyfriend Cal, a member of the same coven, insists that witchcraft is in her blood, Morgan is confused. Her parents definitely aren’t witches. They do seem to be keeping something secret, though-something about Morgan’s past.

The second book in the Sweep series is full of revelations and it was so exciting that I read it cover-to-cover in the blink of an eye. We find out about Morgan’s true history and start to discover a little more about Cal and his mother Selene Belltower. In fact, right at the end of the book, Morgan discovers a hidden library in Cal’s house and books about her family history and just when she’s discovered by Cal and Selene – the book ends!

And guess what? I DON’T HAVE THE THIRD BOOK! ARRRRGGGGHHH!!! So I knew right then I was missing a whole ton of stuff. Even though these books are only about 150 pages, they cover a lot of ground and the author is pretty decent at recapping the previous books in scattered bits through out the current book. (Which is good, because the books are so tiny it would suck if a quarter of each one was just the retelling of the previous books!)

So I grumbled, stomped to the table in the motel room and picked up book 4 knowing that some exciting events had gone in in book 3 and I would only get a brief recap now. Grr. I so wanted to see what sort of confrontation was going to happen between Morgan and Selene. I got the vibe right from the start that she and her son were a little suspicious.

One day I’ll get this missing 3rd book and will read it to get the full details!
